three weeks left till graduation. i dont care much for school anymore. i know i am going to regret saying this later, but i think i'm ready to enter the real world.

after much deliberation, i've decided that i'll be investing my engineering skills into assisting Bechtel Corporation assume complete domination of the planet earth.

on another note, i was a big fan of world series of poker and celebrity poker tv shows. i got real excited this morning when i stumbled upon Bid Whist Party Throwdown on the BET owned network, TV One.

"Now, TV One is bringing this classic game-that Black folks play on front stoops, in backrooms and barber shops, and under "shade tree" hangouts-to television for the first time!"

the show features black stars playing bid whist (which is pretty much like spades) for the entire time. it gets pretty crazy sometimes and people get heated when the stakes are high. so if you miss the adrenaline of "going boston" at the lunch room table back in high school, then tune in.

i know that i've probably lost touch with alot of you guys (its really a bad habit of mine ), but i want all of you to know that you are all the most important things in my life. i am truly greatful to have come across all the people that have played a part in my life so far. i hope for only happiness for you all.

time to play catch-up.

so im back from the philippines. it was awesome as usual. survived the tsunami and several instances of alcohol poisoning. decided to leave my piece of crap digital camera over there for my cousins to play with, so i have no pics to share.

returned to the states and turned 22. got a surprise party from the gang. totally didnt see that one coming.. serious!

heres me and my buddies. they are "dukot"-ing my butt hence my facial expression.

school started back up and its knocked me back down. the classes arent as hard as they could be, but my laziness keeps me from excelling and beating the curve. i'm gonna stick around till fall '05 semester, so i have yet to worry about entering the job market and searching for a career... unlike some people:

i hear kevin weeping in his room every night, "why wont anyone hire me?"
boohoo crybaby! don't worry, i'm sure youll eventually find a job as a dental assistant or scientician or something.

i, myself, am searching for an engineering summer internship. if i dont end up landing one, i'll prolly just be slinging rocks or running guns or delivering my auntie's pancit around the metro DC area.
NHTSA, IDA, NRL, AAI or Swales Aerospace pleeeease pick me up for the summer!!!

im excited about next week's cruise to the carribean! wahoo!

awwww shizzles...
so heres my semester so far in a nutshell (in no particular order) ~

everyone got a nice car over the summer except for me.
8am quizzes every friday morning sucks.
career fairs are fun because my resume will kick your resume's ass.
fighting for filipino veterans rights = being ice grilled by US capitol police with assault rifles.
sharing my air conditioning with friends is fun.
getting my car stereo stolen makes me very angry.
jumping off 50 foot cliffs into ice cold rivers will fcuk you up.
living on the ground floor makes bringing groceries through your window fun and easy.
living on the ground floor makes people treat your window like a door and your carpet like a door mat.
univ of maryland police are dickheads.
bernard doesnt like using the campus washing machines.
lupos never dissapoints.
george mason throws ragers.
richard ting likes chris.
kevin liu likes ting ting
dan chen likes madden.
FCA freshmen... i mean sophmores, are so so def.
everyone's little sister is looking good.
there really is a bowling alley at stamp. forreal.
field hockey games are so thrilling that i cant stay through the whole thing.
the redskins always dissapoint.
getting two cavities filled costs $120 and is not covered by my insurance.
i need to stop being so sarcastic.
beer bongs make drinking fun again.

i'm spending the last night i'll ever have here in room 2415c of the commons. it was rainy all of today so it was only until a couple hours ago that i could move most of my crap out of my apt (thanks to the help of AK's roommate's dolly). i cleared pretty much everything out of my room so tomorrow can be focused on cleaning and filling in all the thumbtack holes and mopping the kitchen and bathroom. mr. mom mode will be activated once i wake up tomorrow morning so i can get home early and spend time with some family that flew in from chicago. hopfully the weather is better than it was today so i can play tourguide for them around DC.

the prodigal son returns! my homeboy from freshman year, jon, has come back into the mix. me, jon & pat (and sometimes b.nard) used to be the original vortex and were inseperable. we used to slack off so hard that one day we made most of the FCA freshmen (when we used to be freshmen) skip all our classes for one day so we could enjoy an entire day in the newly opened ten ren's (this was circa spring 2002). of course that was when bubble tea was still cool. our antics from back in the day are still recorded in my earlier xanga entries from early 2003 when i started this damn xanga page that has taken up so much of my time and has cost me quite a bit in the GPA dept. so welcome back to jon! (thnx for the cellfone homie!)

the summer is soon coming to an end. theres only a few more things to knock off my checklist before returning to the hell i call the A James Clark School of Engineering. gotta hit up ocean city with the original d6 beach crew. have to ride the roller coasters at either six flags or kings dominion or maybe even both. and of course i have to blow all the money that i made this summer on a gambling splurge in atlantic city. thanks to mr and mrs ortega for hooking it up with the comp'ed rooms and meals!

there are very few things that i look forward to when school opens up. there is of course all the friends that i havnt seen since classes ended. and there is also the new commons apartment that i'm sharing with kevster, dan chen and a miscellaneous chinese fellow (sike... sorry richard ting).

the best thing that i am looking forward to is having my BABY SISTER attend college park!! yay!! i can keep my eyes on her at all times now and make sure that she will never ever ever ever have any male friends ever. EVER. if any of you (i've got my eye on you house of pancakes ) even think about thinking of dreaming of touching her... grrrrrr..... ROAR! shes just a baby!!!
